Great Things From the Week!
*Family Coding Night - Thank you for all of your support in promoting the event. A special shout out to Carlos, Shannell, Amy, Ms. Loder, Ms. Larson, Ms. Unzueta, Ms. Pritchard, Ms. Voss, Ms. Hawthorne and Ms. Hernandez for working the event. Thank you to 4-6th grade for letting us use your Chromebooks.
*Starting the day with a huge rainbow on Wednesday.
* 6th grade band performance.
*Saturday School - Thank you Carlos, Shannell, Amy, Ms. Pham and Jonathan (37 students attended)
*Eureka Math - I am constantly impressed with our students and how much they are growing mathematically.
*100% attendance day, we had 5 classrooms with 100% attendance - information for pie eating contest to come! (Probably going to have the event on 12/21)
*STEP staff working together and working with students. It's great to walk through classrooms and see staff sitting with students engaged in learning.
*Thank you Shanda for continuing the ELA Adoption journey. We know and trust that you will represent Team Harrison.
*Thank you Mr. Pofahl for the student letters, made my day.
*Congratulations Ms. Shay, for getting Steve and the nomination of Teacher of the Month! We appreciate all you do for our students.

SLT - Common Commitments:
As a staff
we will commit to Intentional Collaborative Conversations.
“Intentional”
means- grouping students together for an intentional purpose: giving certain
partners or groups specific types of questions, and/or giving roles/jobs to
particular students for a purpose in mind. (Such
as a Reader, Writer, Illustrator, Reporter, etc… without giving a lower reader
the Reader position, or shy person the reporter position.)
Within the
Collaborative Conversations include using the 4Ls as norms, using sentence
frames, complete sentences, and RACE as appropriate.
-Instructional Time is valuable, please make sure we maximize every minute we have with our students. Make sure your activities all day long are addressing the Standards.

12/11 - Danielson walk with district personal (8:30-11:30 this is to help me calibrate what I am seeing in the classroom as it pertains to Danielson) - Just make sure you are teaching during this time, we are not looking for anything particular but plan your art and song practice around this please.
12/11 - Gateway Training for notified staff
12/11 - HILT (Topic- Leading with your Strengths, Ann Masters will be joining us)
12/11 - PTA Board Meeting
